Bias in AI: The AI Equality Dilemma

Should AI models treat every one the same? Having tried the major models the amount of bias significantly perpetuates existing social inequalities by embedding historical prejudices into algorithms, which then influence critical areas like hiring, law enforcement, education and healthcare.

Here are the results for top 5 undergraduate courses in UK based on gender from my prompt! If you add the race, then Social work and African American studies make the list to Top 5.

The very algorithms designed to assist us can perpetuate harmful stereotypes. If we don’t address bias in AI now, we risk creating a future where the machines are just as prejudiced as some of the people who built them.

What’s your experience, have you faced or seen the bias in AI, please share your thoughts in the comments section. With this we complete this week’s newsletter, hope you have enjoyed the insights.
